Dr. Sarah Squinas

DVM

Dr. Squinas has been around horses all her life. Before veterinary school, she worked as a veterinary assistant and as a groomer at Fraser Downs.

She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and began her career at Clover Valley Veterinary Hospital, an equine general practice and referral hospital, where she gained experience in colic surgery, neonatal medicine and intensive care.

Dr. Squinas is committed to education. She developed and taught the Veterinary Assistant Program at the University of the Fraser Valley, has published a case report in the Canadian Veterinary Journal, and served on the Delta Equine Seminar Committee, which organizes an annual continuing education event for equine veterinarians. She is a board member of a national charity called My Grandfather’s Cat, has hosted educational events for 4-H and Pony Club members and spoken to horse owners at the Mane Event.

Her special interests are colic, dentistry and miniature horses. At home she shares her life with her husband, her horses and a number of other animals.
