Horizon Equine Veterinary Clinic is located on the WestGen campus in Abbotsford, BC, in the Fraser Valley. Our clinic space, built in 2017, is set up for both routine appointments and complex cases, with room to examine, treat and hospitalize horses on site.
Inside the Clinic
What We Have On Site
The clinic is set up so horses can be examined, treated and, when needed, hospitalized in one place. Owners and trainers can haul in for appointments, stay with their horse for procedures, and talk with the veterinarian in person. The features below are what make that possible.
Safety & Security
Hospitalized horses are monitored in person throughout the day, attended to through the night, and watched 24/7 on multiple individual cameras. The facility is securely gated.
Ample Space & Convenience
There is plenty of room to park and turn trailers for haul-in appointments, which makes arrival easier and less stressful for your horse. Secure overnight trailer parking is available for clients if needed.
Treatment & Hospital Areas
Some owners prefer to haul in rather than schedule a farm visit. Other cases require intensive care in a tightly controlled hospital setting, where a climate-controlled space keeps horses comfortable in every season. Our clinic has examination stocks, padded stalls for hospitalized horses, and a variety of on-site diagnostic, imaging, and treatment equipment readily at hand for our team.
Our People
The building matters, but the people matter more. From checking in with our care coordinators, to getting set up with our veterinary assistants, to your time with the veterinarian, every visit involves the whole team. Your horse is in capable hands from arrival to departure.
THE WELCOME CENTRE
Our Care Coordinators
Our Care Coordinators are your first point of contact. They bring their own experience with horses, so they understand what you are describing when you call. They triage every enquiry, book farm and clinic appointments, and check you in when you arrive, so your appointment starts smoothly.
THE LAB
In-House Testing
Our in-house laboratory handles both routine and specialized testing, so results are available quickly. Routine blood tests, metabolic screening and parasite testing are just a few of the tests we run on site. For tests sent out to reference laboratories, same-day and after-hours emergency pickups are available.

Most appointments can be done at the clinic rather than on farm. Hauling in saves you the Call Fee, and with the full range of clinic equipment immediately on hand, our veterinarians and assistants can work efficiently through your horse’s appointment.
