Dr. Chelsey Wood

Dr. Chelsey Wood grew up in Mission, British Columbia, where she developed a passion for western performance horses. She began her career by completing the Animal Health Technology program at Thompson Rivers University and became a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT). During her time as an RVT, she gained valuable experience in small animal private practice, emergency medicine, pathology at the Animal Health Centre, and as a meat inspector with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).  She later completed her pre veterinary studies at the University of British Columbia before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Saskatchewan. Most recently, Dr. Wood successfully completed an internship in equine medicine and surgery at Moore Equine in Calgary, where she further developed her expertise in advanced equine care.
