Internal medicine is the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the body’s internal systems, including the respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, endocrine and nervous systems. Common conditions include colic, respiratory disease, neurological disease, and metabolic disorders such as PPID and equine metabolic syndrome.

Diagnosis is supported by our in-house laboratory, which provides same-day blood results, along with ultrasound, radiography, endoscopy and gastroscopy. Horses needing intensive treatment, such as medical colic cases requiring intravenous fluids, can be hospitalized at our clinic with 24-hour care. Many conditions, particularly metabolic and endocrine disease, need long-term management, and our veterinarians work with you to monitor and adjust treatment over time.
